Still not sure about this one.........

OK, girls, honest opinions...how about this card? do you like it? or would your 90 year old grandma like it? I'm so not a 'pink' person, but somehow that is the direction this card went...I loved how the watercolored piece turned out. Surely there was a better way to showcase it...sigh...guess I will have to recreate it...am I the only one that hates to make the same card more than once?

All stamps are by My Heart Stamps for You. (I'm bouncing in my seat...they're sending me mo' rubbah to play with soooooon....but with international postage it will take about a month to get here...! sigh......) I used 2 stamps - the meadowlark and oriental branch...the bird was stamped first and then masked, then I stamped the branch several times around him. I'm pretty sure I stamped it upside-down, but I kinda had to the way he is positioned and facing on the card. I stitched all the layers together with my sewing machine. Dogwoods were part of my care package...I miss the dogwoods after 6 years in the Ozarks...sigh...send me some Spring, please!

  4. I love your card and my grandmother would like it too as she loves birds and flowers! I love the subtle colors; one's eye is definitely drawn into the picture to the bird.

  6. This is really pretty! And yes, I'd love to receive it- and I'm not 90  It might take on a completely different look by changing out the soft white (which I like) and adding some contrasting stitching (black?). Just a thought. Anyway, its beautiful as is. let me know if this wonderful card needs a home! Adelle

  7. I luv the colors -- soft and pretty. Birds, I'm finding, are not so easy to color, but you did a beautiful job. All the elements work together so well.

  8. I am not a pink person either except at Valentines day when it is paired with some other color. But this is beautiful and any lady from 5 to 105 would love it!

  9. Hey Dini! I think I like this card as much as, if not more than, all your other cards combined...I have a thing for pink, for flowering branches, and certainly for photo corners. My heart is actually beating a little faster after seeing this one. I think I'm in love! (from Aunt Bethy)
