Playing Dr. Mom

Nothing much to share today...I did a little watercoloring tonight just for therapy, but nothing ready to share with the world just yet. I think I finally figured out my list for my smARTworks order...but I didn't get to place it yet.

My house today was like a hospital ward. My husband is sick with dengue fever (it's a tropical mosquito-borne sickness, characterized by spiking fever, headache, nausea, intense joint pain, and an itchy, painful rash), and 3 of my 4 kids have something that started with a fever and progressed to a rash...not sure if it is dengue or not, but ick! There's no cure for dengue except rest, and lots of it, and treating the symptoms...from what we've heard, if you try to 'come back' too soon, it will snap back much worse than before. Don't wanna go there! We're trying to treat the kids as if they have dengue too, so that means being still, resting, drinking lots of water, taking Advil for the fevers...I have 4 children under the age of 6 (and 3 of them are boys), so you can imagine how fun that is. We watched a LOT of movies today!

This is an older card but it seems appropriate to post today...this was a sketch challenge, but I don't remember which one. The lady and the saying are from Art Impressions, and I also used a background stamp by Hero Arts. The saying: "It's been one of those days...all week!" (can I get an "Amen"?)
