Impression Obsession - new products for February
It's time for a new monthly release from Impression Obsession! Haven't seen the new products? They're all HERE - go take a peek! I do have a few products in this month's release - 2 paper packs and 2 stencils.
I used both of my stencils on this project! That portion is partially covered with the bunnies, so I took some pictures of my process. The Edgers stencil has several slits across it that are closed at the ends. They are diagonal to allow for wider openings, allowing for different orientations of your cardstock, or even other stencils, as you'll see here! You can slip your cardstock into the slot so it's masking either above or below the cut, depending on your card design.
Above you can see that the curved slot accommodates the Cobblestone stencil - taping both stencils in place, I was able to brush grey ink to create a stony hill for my scene. I then removed the cobblestones and brushed more grey ink over the area.
Next I repositioned my die cut to cover up the area I had just inked and focus on the sky. Below is the finished background.
These bunnies are so adorable, and the matching outline dies are easy to position. I did a little wet-into-wet watercoloring to give them some fun shading and spots. I used to collect bunnies of all kinds when I was growing up - I donated most of my collection to thrift stores when I left home, but I still have a few nice ceramic pieces and find bunny stamps (and puns!) kind of hard to resist...
