Impression Obsession Product Focus: Stencils

The Impression Obsession team has some projects to share today featuring our stencils!

This is such a fun stamp set, and the top-view perspective is so unique! I started my card by positioning the oval stencil in the center of my card using the guidelines marked on the stencil itself. With it in place, I stamped the image, then flipped the stencil over to just stamp the toes where the stencil had blocked them before. I used a paper mask to cover the image while I inked up the background, then used watercolor paints to color in the image.

Each of the stencils in these shape sets has a border along one side. In the oval set, there are positive and negative cuts of scallop borders - I used one to ink the bottom of my next card panel. I love how that creates a layered look and fills the space without adding extra bulk.
