Impression Obsession - new products for January!

It's time for a new monthly release from Impression Obsession, and I'm excited to have quite a few items in this batch! Haven't seen the new products? They're all HERE - go take a peek! I'll wait.

January releases typically focus on Valentine stamps, so I've got a few products with that theme, and of course they can be used year-round as well (not my favorite holiday, so I have fun making things versatile). If you love roses, get excited - I have 2 rose stencils debuting this month: an outline and a layered set. There is a paper pad to match too, featuring lots of sweet hearts and floral designs.

I had the house to myself this weekend (rare!) and I got my layered stencil set late, so I had fun experimenting, and made a video for you too! I hadn't tried using layered stencils with a gel press yet, so that's what I did.

Here's the card I made - I couldn't settle on a sentiment, so there's room for that if I change my mind.

...and here is the video! The key to lining up the layers is lining up the corner of your cardstock with the corner of the stencil each time. Enjoy!

One more card using the gel press and the Rose Outline stencil - this was a background I had already started. I brayered a layer of white paint on the gel press then laid the stencil over the paint before taking the print. Easy, and this would work on colored cardstock as well.

  2. That is amazing! Thanks for the video showing how it works, because I wasn't at all sure, but I love what you did. That would be a fun thing to play with, so I'll watch the video several times to pick up everything I can, and then maybe I can try it!

  9. Dina your cards are always amazing, but that first rose is over the top. Going to have to check out your designer paper and maybe think about getting a gel press too.
