Impression Obsession - Old is New

With such a huge collection of wonderful stamps from so many artists, sometimes the older stamps in the Impression Obsession catalog find their way out of the spotlight. We don't want them to be forgotten, so we like to feature them regularly. We hope you're inspired!

SS-1265-G Sprinkler
A11036B Filled with Fun

I'm back with another Serendipity stamp - there are several image of children and animals in that line that are just absolutely adorable!  I love the summer feel of this Sprinkler image - doesn't that bring back memories?!

I colored the image with Karin markers and colored pencils - I used a Sakura clear glaze pen on the water before coloring, and a white Posca pen after coloring.

My background panel was done with a stencil from A Colorful Life - that is HERE - for this technique I inked up a stencil, misted it and pressed it into watercolor paper with my die cutting machine. I don't know if I've shared that technique yet...? If not, let me know if you'd like to see a video - it's such a fun look and easy to do.

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - see the I.O. blog for all the details! Thanks for stopping by!
