Impression Obsession Summer Release - Day 2
I hope you're ready for some Impression Obsession goodness today... we have new Summer stamps to share this week! You can find all the new products HERE!
CC402 Pixel Daisy D13910 Living |
Something that stands out in this new release are the number of large florals - after the Pixel Poinsettia background came out last year I had requests for more flowers in that same style! I love this style of stamp because it makes a quick and easy background - it can be a subtle tone-on-tone for an elegant backdrop. You can ink up individual areas in different colors for a little more drama like I've done here, or you can use the shading built in to the style of the stamp as a guide for realistic coloring. I've used the Pixel Daisy stamp here, and in this release you'll also find a Rose and a Dahlia!
For my card here I inked up the full Daisy stamp in yellow Dye ink, then used a lighter brown ink for the center, misting it before stamping to soften the look. This sentiment............ so perfect for today.
Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - you'll find a full list of their names on the I.O. Blog! You're not required to comment on every post, but the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win - each one of us has a $25 gift certificate to give away! Winners will be drawn Monday April 13th at noon CT and will be announced on April 14th on the IO blog, so be sure to check back for your name!
