Spellbinders September Glimmer Kit - something different!
A little late posting a project with this month's Glimmer Kit from Spellbinders - I wanted to try foiling on a piece of matboard for some unique earrings!
The diamonds were cut using this steel rule die which is deeply discounted right now - the 4 shaped pieces are a great size for repeated designs, tags, paper quilting and more. I love steel rule dies because they can cut through thicker materials - these pieces are cut from black matboard. I used the corner pieces from this month's Glimmer Kit to foil the diamonds so the pattern would be mirrored. I love how the silver looks on the black!
Here's the full kit - I love the art deco style, and all the possibilities for placement - be sure to check out the other samples for lots of ideas with these pieces!

SO PRETTY, Dina & a VERY CREATIVE WAY to use this months Foiling Dies! They created a GORGEOUS PATTERN! ;)<3
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely!!! I never thought to use matboard for earrings. I wanted to use leather but don’t know what kind. I don’t have this die or these glimmer plates but do have other dies & glimmer plates I can use. Thank you for the inspiration!
