Splitcoast Tutorial: Plaid Backgrounds

This week's tutorial is all about Plaid Backgrounds! Our author, Beverly Stewart, is a teacher, and she's sort of fearless in her invitation to experiment and play. Here's the sample I made...

This is also a peek at a new stamp from Impression Obsession, coming soon in their Fall/Winter release. I have some fun new stamps coming as well, quite a few with a fishing theme, which will be so useful in our new home near the lake!

I made my background using Zig Clean Color markers and Pilot Fountain Pens - I love the way these write! I would have rather used a wider brush to blend, but those were packed at the time I was working... I'll definitely have to revisit this when I can unpack a bit.

Hope you'll give this a try!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Oh, Dina, this is so adorable! I love this rolly-polly snowman! Hehe! You've colored him so sweetly, and I love the plaid! And that new die is fabulous! Can't wait to see more! Hugs, sweet friend! (P. S. Beverly did a great job with the SCS tutorial!)
