Mix-Ability challenge: Watercolor Lifting
This week the Mix-Ability challenge over on Splitcoast is to try out the Watercolor Lifting technique! You can find all the details and a link to the tutorial in the forum HERE.
Here's my card.....
I had a couple of false starts on this project, but finally ended up with this project, using black Brusho - that's one of my favorites because of all the component colors. I should have taken pictures as I went, but this was such an experimental run! I sprinkled the powder, then spritzed water and added more powder for a deep background. I brushed out the color toward the bottom of the panel to even it out. The silhouette image was stamped in Versamark ink, and then embossed clear. When the powder was set, I added water to the panel and lifted color with a rag. I stamped with a little water to lift more color toward the right side and at the bottom.
Impression Obsession stamps that I used (I love these for summer!): Bike Silhouette, Dot Border, Amazing, French Script
Enjoy the weekend! I'm packing and so grateful for air conditioning!
