Mix-Ability challenge: Framing

This week's Mix-Ability challenge is brought to us by new hostess Polly (peeps321), and we're adding frames to our projects. I had done the stamping on this piece a couple of weeks ago, but decided not to use it at the time - it worked out perfectly for this challenge!

Using the MISTI, I did a sort of kaleidoscope technique with my layered Rose Set - since the die cut is a hexagon, I could position each layering stamp once on the MISTI and then rotate the panel to position it correctly on all 6 sides. I did the same for each layer until all the layers were stamped on all 6 sides. That might be a good tutorial in the future - I was just experimenting on this one. :) And it worked! I love the star pattern that happened in the center too.

I was inspired by the look of the Triple Stamping technique for the hexagon layers - except I did the stamping on a single panel instead of stamping over 3 panels. The layers were done in a single pass through the Big Shot, and then layered with a narrow handcut border. The sentiment can be found here - I love this quote!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - I'll be working on my June tutorial and packing some more! Hugs -

 Thanks for stopping by!
