Splitcoast tutorial: Envelope Fold Card

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a Envelope Fold Card - it's sort of a pop-up diorama card that folds up into its own envelope for mailing or hand delivery. Here's my card:

I made one tweak to the measurements on my card - I cut a 1" frame instead of the 1/2" frame suggested in the tutorial - just felt that would be a little sturdier and give me more gluing surface for the die cuts.

I used dies from Impression Obsession (Butterflies Die, Fancy Butterfly, Butterfly Set, Birdcage Die), and the sentiment is from my stamp line (HERE).

On the outside, I adhered another butterfly die cut that will hold the card closed when I'm ready to send it, and an oval frame for the label.

These are fun - I hope you'll make one too!
  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Now, Dina, I'm just going to say that you can send this card directly to me. Love the color choices and who can resist butterflies!

  3. I like that you increased the measurements on your card. It does make for a sturdier frame for your design elements. Will have to try this version. Thanks for inspiring with your beautiful card.
