Inchie Plus mosaic tiles

I took time yesterday to make a card for this week's CAS challenge over at Splitcoast - the challenge was to show off shades of green. I needed some thank you cards, so I decided to stamp a stack of them...

I used Inchie Plus squares from Inchie Arts - these are 1.5" matboard squares, and they're a great size for smaller cards like this, especially in this arrangement of 4.  I used one of the stamps from this set:

Rotating Repeat Tiles - Pattern

I love the hand cut look of these - and they have a batik look to them, which is dear to my heart as well. I positioned the stamp on my MISTI to the corner, then laid my Art Squares 1/4" in and down so they'd be sure to be covered in the design. I inked the full stamp up with Memento ink, then used a Distress or Zig marker to color over a few detailed areas... this method is waaaaay less tedious than trying to color every section differently.

I branched out in color as I went along - love the contrast in these too.

I've got another fun Inchie project coming at you next week! Can't wait to share!

  1. Dina, your tile cards are stunning! They look like real ceramic tiles, and I just love your color scheme for each. Tfs
