Winners! and a fun project for Halloween.

We have winners

The winner of the goodie box is:  Linda S.!

Dina, Your work is truly inspiring to those of us that aspire to even come close to your level of work. I enjoy your product comparisons as well as the tutorials you make for your fans. I can only imagine how much time that process takes. Please know that you are admired and respected for your talents and all you share.

The winner of the Make Art print is:  McStamper!

Happy 9th. Always look forward to your blog. Your talent is amazing. Thanks for a chance to win. Love your prints.

The winner of the Journaling Bible is:  Christine Nixon!

This is beautiful, Dina. Congratulations on your 9 years as a blogger. As someone who is very hesitant to journal into my everyday Bible, but someone who loves what you do with it, I'd love to win this and give it a go! Thank you for the opportunity.

Ladies, please email me with your mailing addresses and I will get these prizes out to you! Thank you for ALL your comments - they meant so much to me.

It's Halloween! I painted this pretty pumpkin just for fun, and I have a fun little spooky project for this week's Mix-Ability Challenge, which was to use fall colors...

I debossed the new Spider Web Background die on a piece of watercolor paper, then flipped over the panel and did a rubbing with a white crayon on the raised lines. I sprinkled black and orange Brusho powders onto the panel and misted with water - because the wax resists the water, there are pockets of the powders that didn't blend. I love that effect! I need to do a tutorial on the rubbing technique soon - I love that one, and I'm not sure that just describing it is quite enough.

The spider is die cut from cardstock and mounted on die cut mounting foam. I used black Flower Soft to make it fuzzy and a little bit creepy too! 'Boo' is from a larger background stamp.

I hope you have a safe and fun weekend - I will be back Monday!
Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Love the Brusho Boo card. I bought some Bisters and will try them first before making the investment in Brushes. Love the wax resist. Had forgotten all about white crayons. Thanks for sharing!
