Mix-Ability - White Space

This week's Mix-Ability challenge is to create a project with lots of white media or white space. I chose a clean and simple layout, and had some fun with a new set from a brand new stamp company called Concord & 9th! I had to start off with just one set for my first purchase, but I'll be back - great quality clear stamps, and super quick, friendly service. Go take a peek - or hold out till the 9th if you can - they'll have a new release!

I started off by stamping the ring image in Memento Pear Tart, and then stamping the floral elements to one side with Memento Rich Cocoa. I colored it all in with Prismacolor pencils, just taking my time with some very light shading. After this crazy week I needed to take it slow (it was my first week back to homeschooling and holding down the fort as Russ started a new job with the county).

I used my MISTI (that baby got a workout this week!) to stamp the sentiment 3 times - love that rich black. Stazon, I think.

Have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Very pretty. You did well with the challenge.

  2. Lovely card Dina....isn't the MISTI wonderful!!!
    Paper Hugs,

  3. Oh my goodness! This color pallet caught my eye, and the etherial look to this beautiful wreath! Then you mentioned another stamp company to check out, Yikes! oh just what we need! I fear I must take a look, this is just too sweet! Good luck with your busy schedule! Lavender is your Friend! :)

  4. Oh, Dina, this is gorgeous, and I just purchased this set (times two for a friend we both know *wink*)! I so love the elegant simplicity and this amazing sentiment! And your coloring is amazing and really has such depth...I love it! Thanks for this great inspiration, my friend. And I'm so glad you were able to slow down and get to color this lovely image! Hugs and praying...

  5. This is lovely in these beautiful soft colours. The delicate design could have been swamped without the white space and you've lifted it right off the page with your skilful shading
