February!?

Hard to believe we're a full month into 2015 already! What does February hold? Well, here on the blog this month you'll be seeing....

--more great tutorials and challenges
--an exciting blog hop featuring Inchie Arts and Copic Markers
--peeks at Impression Obsession's newest die release
--maybe even peeks at our trip overseas! More info on that coming soon.

Hope you'll visit to find out more!

Of course there will be cards... here's one that was displayed at CHA - the background was stamped first over the masked image using chalk ink - that's CAC Crochet. The image (Cactus Blossom) is watercolored using QoR watercolors.

The sentiment (here or here) fit just perfectly inside a Spellbinders rectangle die, but instead of cutting it out, I used the die to deboss a frame around it. Here's a close look at the card so you can see the debossing, watercoloring, and the background effect of the Crochet stamp. A lot going on!

Enjoy today, and come again! Happy February!
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love the idea to use the die for embossing only, it is so clever and easy, now why didn't I think of that!

Card is beautiful and sentiment meant just for me today.

Thank you so much for sharing

  2. Beautiful. The background stamp is so pretty and I love the way you've coloured the Cactus Blossom. This sentiment is a favourite, but framing with the debossed rectangle is a lovely touch.
