Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Winter Chill

The Impression Obsession team's challenge today is to create a project that embodies the chill of winter.

This is the most sparkly card I have ever made. Ever. The background is watercolored using Hydrus paints (wow, does 1 drop go a long way!) - I created a loose watery scene using just my brush and a little imagination.

The bunnies are die cut from a sheet of Basic Grey cardstock that has tiny sewing pattern images on it. I added some light shading to the die cuts with a watersoluble graphite pencil. The snow on the trees is done with acrylic paint.

To attach the bunnies to the scene I added a layer of Mod Podge to the entire panel, and while it was wet I sprinkled Warm Diamond microfine glitter over it all. The Mod Podge gave a really good hold, which was a fun discovery.

Be sure to check out these other designers' blogs for inspiration......... also, get ready for sneak peeks NEXT WEEK of our latest stamp release! So excited.

I have missed a few of your December posts owing to the Christmas build-up, but I will catch up.

  12. Dear Mamma Dina! Happiest of New Years to you in 2015, good health and lots of blessings. I have followed you for almost a year now and enjoyed everything about what you create, and you as a person. I read your "about", only today for the first time, silly me. I can clearly see why I've been drawn to you and your art style is to say the least..."brilliant". I have learned LOTS from you and have appreciated your answers to my questions via email. God Bless you now in 2015 in the states, and may He lead you to wonderful ventures in your art realm.
