Holiday Blitz Tutorial: 3D Circle Ornament

Today's Holiday Blitz tutorial is this elegant die cut ornament by Chris Olsen - these are so fun and simple to make! I made the video for this tutorial, and these are the samples I came up with. The round one is the one made in the video. I used one round stamp and alternated those panels with a sheet music background.

The tutorial is done using circle die cuts, but these can be made with any symmetrical shape - for this second one I used an ornament die from Impression Obsession, and one of the coordinating clear stamps... I stamped in Versamark ink and sponged silver PanPastel over the design. So pretty!

These ornaments fill out to a nice dimensional shape, but they'll actually fold pretty flat for mailing, too.

The pearl beads at the bottom of the ornaments were repurposed from a pair of old earrings - it was fun recycling them into something pretty! Hope you'll try these!

  3. If I could ever get enthused about making my own decorations these would be the ones. An excellent tutorial and your makes are so pretty. Especially love your repurposed earrings.
