You'll loooove today's tutorial over at Splitcoast - it's a cute little peek-a-boo box that holds 2 Cadbury Creme Eggs... for a fun Halloween twist, Deb wraps hers up in gauze so they look like tiny mummies. So. Cute. Go peek!

To go along with the Halloween treat theme, here's a card I made for CHA - the Halloween Bucket was super fun to color, using my Touch Twin Markers. The colors I used are below. Just a hint for shading multicolored images like this - add shading and shadows first using different shades of grey. When you color over the shading, it will all blend together and into your main colors, and you won't have to worry about switching colors around to get a fluid shadow line. Also - a Sakura Glaze Pen works well to resist  alcohol markers in those tiny spots you don't want ink to bleed into, and to add glossy highlights to your colored work. I love mine!

These are the markers I used:

I'm ready for FALL! It's been 10 years since we experienced an American fall season. It's my favorite, and I've missed it. My husband's been reffing youth and high school football, and is enjoying that so much.

Speaking of falls... on Monday my daughter was running at a friend's house and dislocated her kneecap - we spent the rest of the evening at the ER. Thankfully she's extremely tough and it was an easy fix.

Always something with us!
 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is so incredibly beautiful! I need to learn more about those markers, particularly what you were saying about the resist pen? Where can I learn more?

  2. Your coloring is striking! Love the image.

    Hope your daughter is OK.

  3. Your colouring is amazing. The image is darling too.

  4. Dina...What stamp set is that Halloween bucket from? Adorable!

  5. Fantastic colouring. I'm not a fan of Halloween, but I do love Autumn:it's also my favourite season (as long as the weather isn't too wet)!

  6. Looks like a tricky stamp to color but you did a fantastic job, Dina.
