Sad News

You would normally be coming here on the first Monday of the month for Flourishes' Beautiful World Tour, but sadly, due to some changes at Flourishes, the January hop was our last hop together.

I know. From Millan.Net

I had already started working on my card when we received the news as a team, so I decided to share it here today, to share this sweet sentiment with my teammates. This truly has been the sweetest and most talented group of ladies that I have worked with, and the time we have shared together has been such a blessing to me. The dynamic of having an international team is so interesting, and we enjoyed discussing differences in our respective homes.

Here is a list of their blogs - I hope you will continue to visit them and enjoy their creativity.

Some details about my card - the Gerber Daisies image was stamped in Memento ink on textured Bazzill cardstock, and painted lightly with diluted white India ink.

The sentiment is stamped on an Inchie Plus Art Square from Inchie Arts, and the twine came from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. This color combination happened while I was cleaning my desk. Love that! Notice that my button is threaded with a tiny strip of paper - that's one of my time-saving tricks.

Flourishes is having one of their Gambler's sales and the discount moves to 30% off this week - do you wait for a deeper discount? or grab the bargains while they last? Be sure to check it out if there are stamps you want to be sure to have in your stash... when they're gone, they're gone!
Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Are they going out of business???

  4. Dina, your card is lovely, and so is your message to the team. I feel the same way, I loved the diversity on every hop, and will so miss our group! It was an honor to work with you, and I will continue to lurk around here, learning all kinds of amazing things from you!

  5. Dina, your card is beautiful. Love the colour combo, the doily trim, and the white india ink technique!

I am so sad to see our time at Flourishes come to an end but, it has been a pleasure working with you! I will be sure to stop by every now and then to see what you're up to!

  8. Stunning card! Beautiful flowers!!!!

  9. Oh no! Dina, I'm sad as well. Although I don't leave comments I always pop in to look and admire the work of all. Flourishes has been one of my all time favorite stamp companies. Their illustrations are beautiful - just a top notch company all around. I'm sorry to see the hop discontinued. But it won't keep me from enjoying the creativity of you and the rest of the team, that's for sure. This is a lovely card. I like the daisies stamped in green, and the India ink wash is perfect! I also like using the Inchie for the sentiment. Wonderful creativity.

  10. This card is so wonderful - just love it!
