Watercolor Tree
Lori's challenge this week for Hope You Can Cling To is to have a leaf on our project somewhere. I wanted to use this branch stamp that I picked up at a stamp show in Idaho last year... it's from I Love Rubber Stamps, and it's such a great size and orientation. I'd thought of just using it as a branch, then decided to create a watercolor tree instead.
I worked wet into wet, using reinkers and a large round brush... I started with the lightest color first, then added in darker colors as the water dried.
After everything was dry, I added some light splatters with a loaded paintbrush.
It was fun working in such a loose style - it's not my usual M.O. when it comes to watercolor!
