Blew Me Away

This was one of my favorite cards to make for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges! I used a background stamp I designed, called CAC Sunburst, for the panel on the left... it was inked and then misted with water before stamping to mixed media paper.

The House Mouse image came from Joanna Sheen - I love that her sets come unmounted - more mice for my money is always a good thing! Love her store and service, and free shipping is always so nice. :)

The card is a gatefold card, and there's a bit of an overlap at the center, because I didn't want to sacrifice any of my background!

The sentiment I used inside is from a set I designed a few years back for smARTworks, They have since gone out of business, but I love this set, with a photo stamp of a sweet little girl blowing bubbles... it may just have to be resurrected one day!

One more thing - I am super proud of my daughter for participating in HYCCT for her 3rd year in a row! She's 10 years old and has produced some pretty amazing cards. She's trying to complete all the challenges this year! Here's a card she made with another section of the background stamp above:
