SNSS Release - God Is

So happy to be joining the Sweet 'n Sassy design team today in introducing my new set, God Is! This is the companion set to an earlier release called His Child.

I didn't get to join last month's release hop for the Delicate Doilies set because my set was still in transit, so I wanted to make sure to incorporate it into my card today. I stamped the largest image off on another paper before stamping it to my background.

Delightful Doilies

God Is
The silhouette image was stamped in Versafine ink, then shaded using Polychromos pencils. The base panel was built with scraps that were out on my desk from other projects - some of the most unexpected color combinations happen that way! The twine was a perfect match - it's from Bella Creationz.

Here's a view of how the easel card fold 'works' - I raised the inside panel slightly with foam tape so it would hold the card open.

Check out the fabulous samples made by the talented DT in the thumbnails below. Be sure to leave a comment of each of the blogs along your journey because this set will be given away to one lucky winner!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Dina,
Let me be the first to say I am thrilled to have both sets. I was so excited when I learned you were creating this companion set (thank you). The card you've created today is stunning. I think so many times we go straight to what is comfortable (using our black inks on silhouettes) - I know I do. Instead, you've educated us yet again. Using a different color ink with the combination of pencil results in a beautiful sepia look. And it's absolutely wonderful done that way.

And, I was delighted to see you create this as an easel card (smiling). This is a wonderful set, Dina. Thank you so much for sharing your talent here and with everyone on SCS. I appreciate you and give thanks for you.

    Very sincerely,
    Susie ~

  4. Love this, Dina! And using a color other than black for the silhouette is genius! Saving this one to study and (hopefully) recreate in some way.

    TFS!
