To Trust

Here's the most recent addition to my altered hymnbook... honestly, painting faces is not my strongest skill... I have some theory tucked away in my brain, and I've signed up for an online class through Andrea Gomoll, but haven't had time to start yet, except to watch the first video about supplies.Hopefully life will slow down a lit-tle bit soon...? *sigh*

Anyway, for the sake of transparency... here's the spread in its entirety. Room to grow, for sure! Stamps are from Impression Obsession mostly, and I used acrylic paints and my favorite drywall tape and bubble wrap for texture.

Details..... to write over acrylic paint I have found that I really like the Sakura glaze pens - they are sold as Aqualip pens in Asia, and that name makes me smile. They dry slightly raised, which is sort of cool, too.

I was thinking of a dear friend in Ireland when I was working on this... I guess that's why a redhead graces my page!

  3. Your altered hymnal is so beautiful. I am moved to tears by the beauty and also the intimate view you are allowing us into your journey with the Lord. I saw the word GRACE circled....grace to trust Him more. That, too, is my heart's cry.

  5. Dina, I found this girl so intriguing. Her eyes and hair are gorgeous. The class may make you feel more confident but I don't think anything could improve on this beautiful girl. I will be humming that hymn all day now. It is one of my favorites.
