Any Which Way...

I started teaching health class this week, but creative therapy is always welcome... so I created this entry for the Flourishes Any Which Way challenge. It's a sketch challenge in anticipation of the month's new release, and here's the sketch:

I think this is probably my default sketch anyway, when I have a larger colored image! I used some cardstock from Pink Paislee and some scraps from my stash to create the panels, and dies from Spellbinders, Quickutz, and Impression Obsession.

I used a marker, reinkers and Inktense pencils to color the strawberry image - I did my coloring in layers over a couple of days (that's just how I roll here when things get busy! a few minutes here and there...), so I had time to eye the image and add more shading where it seemed it could be deeper. I did a little masking using a Sakura glaze pen on the stems and smaller leaves so I didn't have to worry about coloring over them.

There are still a couple more days to enter the Flourishes' challenge if you want a chance to win this month's release!
Thanks for stopping by!

The strawberries look so real I could just eat them. You have such a great feel for colour, depth and design. Love it!
