Happy Thursday!

On our "off" weeks, the Impression Obsession design team members are taking turns in the spotlight. Today it's my turn! Here's my card:

I watercolored the image (Gardening Tools) using Ranger dye and Distress reinkers, then shaded with a Prismacolor pencil (Sepia) when the watercoloring was dry. A few edges of tools and the butterfly wings were cut with a craft knife, then embossed from the back side of the panel using a ball stylus. The background panel was stamped with two Cover-a-Card stamps, Damask and Canvas, then sponged around the edges. The coconut shell buttons were a local find.
Be sure to check in for next week's Thursday challenge - we will be sharing our favorite Impression Obsession stamps with you! Thanks for stopping by today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Wow, what a beautiful card! I love all your stuff! :o)

  2. Wonderful card! Your background looks great, love the deep earth tone colors. Thanks for showing us a close-up of your colored image, the way you cut and used the stylus to pop up parts of your image looks so neat and is such a great idea. I recently got this stamp at a convention and when I got home I noticed the piece of paper in the stamped image. I wonder what Gary Robertson's intention was when drawing the letter... Anyway, have a wonderful rest of the week!

  3. Dina! What a stunning card!! All your art work is just lovely. Thank you for sharing how you give your cards that extra "somethin' somethin' to make them so stunning!

    Take care and STAY POSITIVE!

  4. Hi Miss Dina!
Wow, your card is just gorgeous! I have this stamp on my list to get. Love your use of the CAC stamps too. Thanks so much for always inspiring me to break out of my shell and try new techniques! 8-)
