Impression Obsession DT Challenge: New Year's Resolutions

The Impression Obsession team's challenge this week is to create a project inspired by our New Year's Resolutions. Tell you the truth, I haven't thought that far ahead... I'm still trying to figure out what happened to September, October, and November...! But something needed in my life is to simplify, and to prioritize people - I am one of those task-oriented souls that easily forget the people around me in lieu of the task at hand. So my card... is clean and simple. Which is hard for me. So be kind.I watercolored (with inks and reinkers) the Door image from Gary Robertson - which I love for the welcome sign... we actually did live in a house with blue doors, too, our first year here, but they were garishly more turquoise than this. Here's a close-up so you can see the Flower Soft in the pots - that is Ivory with a tiny bit of Burnt Sienna, sprinkled in while the glue was still wet. Here is the stamped portion inside the card: Stamps used: Flourish 2 and A Friend (on clearance right now)

Be sure to check out these other designers' blogs for inspiration -
Deborah March
Jeanne Streiff
Jenny Gropp
Julie Koerber
Laura Fulcher

Remember you can enter these challenges too, using your Impression Obsession stamps! See the I.O. blog for all the details - you might even win a $25 gift certificate!! We'd love to have you join us.

Also, remember you have until Friday Dec. 3rd at midnight EST to take advantage of Impression Obsession's annual sale - they have added supplies and used wood mount stamps at a deep discount while supplies last! Orders over $35 ship free and orders over $50 receive a free Christmas globe stamp!

  1. I think this is pretty Miss Dina... with your mad coloring skills... you don't need lots of extras! Sometime I wish I could come watch you color but that would be one expensive coloring class trying to get to you! :-)
