Impression Obsession DT Challenge: Holiday Family Traditions
The Impression Obsession team's challenge this week is to create a project inspired by a family tradition. The kids love helping me to decorate the Christmas tree, so I chose this little mouse with a globe ornament. So cute! I am loving the age span of our kids now... and I think this year we may be able to put ornaments all the way down to the bottom of the tree, instead of having to keep them all out of reach of tiny hands...! Cannot wait.
Mr. Mouse comes in a small clear set called Peace on Earth. I stamped and watercolored him, then masked him and stamped over the image using the Craquelure Cover-a-Card.
I used some pearlescent copper watercolor to wash over the globe - it doesn't show well in the photo but it adds a warm glow to the card. I stamped the mouse a second time and trimmed out his little head, to cover up an unfortunate coloring disaster add dimension and interest to the image.
Remember you can enter these challenges too, using your Impression Obsession stamps! See the I.O. blog for all the details - you might even win a $25 gift certificate!! We'd love to have you join us. Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - their links are to the left!
