owl always....
Here is another CHA sample using Impression Obsession's new owl stamps - these are available as mounted/unmounted red rubber, and also in a cute clear set called Owl be Thankful...
By the way, if you purchase the rubber stamp of the owls, they will all come on one block - in the clear set they are separate, which is cool too. That middle one reminds me of the little tweetly owl from the old Clash of the Titans...The fun thing I discovered when I was making this card is that the Sakura Glaze pen can be used for a resist technique. I colored the branch image with Prismacolor pencils, then covered the entire image with the Glaze pen and let it dry completely. After I did that, I could drag an ink pad over the image to color the background - it filled in perfectly, and didn't affect the glazed areas at all. On this sample I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink - other inks would probably work too - just have to experiment. If you like to use your brayer, that might be an option as well. My brayer is not my friend.Check out that branch - the leaves are sort of owl-y too.
WOW - love those owls, and love your card!!
ReplyDeleteI've got a bit of a thing about owls since beginning card making, and these are really lovely. I love the colours you've put together for this card.
