Cupcake love....

So a friend and I are cutting out sweets in an attempt to regulate our blood sugar... I've had hypoglycemic tendencies for years, but have let my body work to regulate the day-to-day symptoms instead of being proactive or disciplined about it. Such a battle... anyway... starting this week (but not today...I already blew it......ha!) I'm going to make a conscious effort to avoid sugar. It's about that, isn't it, being conscious about what choices I'm making...?

So to celebrate no sugar, a cupcake card. Just enjoy the irony.

I promise the pinks on this card match in real life...I have a terrible time photographing pinks. The House Mouse image is watercolored using Derwent pencils and a waterbrush.

While I'm on the subject of cake, here's another recipe that I really like, which I made yesterday for dinner guests who got married the day before! Love this recipe - so moist. Let me know if you try it!

Peanut Butter Sheet Cake
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
3/4 c. butter or margarine - softened
1/2 c chunky peanut butter
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Blend all ingredients. Bake in a 10"x15" pan, 350F, 16-20 minutes.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. oh...I know this sugar thing, and truly if you don't control it, it will catch up with you.
I have been off of all sugar and white--rice and flours for two months.....what a difference. I don't use any artificial sweetners other than stevia which is a plant.. you can do this...I will pray for you.
LOVE this card...and no calories...last time I looked..no calories in pink...
I enjoy seeing your creations so much.
