Bless You

I had so much fun creating this card - it took me most of a day, with lots of interruptions. I worked off of two challenges:

1. Friday Sketchers sketch challenge #74 (Thanks, Carole, for the great sketch!)

2. Peachy Keen Stamps challenge #13 - Use Blue and Purple ; Use a stamped image; Must include at least 3 snowflakes (can be more); Must include a Greeting. I love these multi challenges...!

All stamps are from Heartfelt Creations - this is Chickadee Surprise and God Bless border (full sentiment is God Bless You on your Birthday...but...I cut it in half, and then only used part of it!)

I colored my little girl with Neopiko markers - didn't anticipate how they would work on a semi-glossy tag, and wasn't really happy with the streaking, but a little pencil shading and texturing with their blender pen made it better. Her hood is covered with Ivory Flower-Soft. I masked some hills of snow with a torn paper edge, and then went along the lines with glitter to highlight the snow.

For the snowflake trails I pierced along a flourish template (really technical...I printed it on the computer, traced onto a clear envelope, then pierced holes along the lines) and connected the dots with hand-stitching. I think the dimensional snowflake was from Jolee's...not sure. The falling snow is just small dots of acrylic paint, applied with a small stylus.

This was one of the backgrounds I made the other night with the ladies, which didn't make it onto a card that night. It turned out to be a perfect fit for both challenges, so I'm glad I saved it! I ran it through my Zip-e-Mate with a Fiskars texture plate, and lightly sanded the raised swirls.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Blessings,
