Impression Obsession challenge - lucky/green

First of all, for those who have been waiting to see all the new CHA releases from Impression Obsession - they are up on the website now! Woohoo!! Click below to find out what's new:
And if you order this weekend, from March 6-8, you'll receive free shipping on all orders over $30! You can visit the Impression Obsession blog for more details. Be sure to check out all the new stuff, and the clearance section, too - some great stuff in there as well. And did you know Impression Obsession carries Flower Soft? Gotta get me some.........

The I.O. team challenged each other to create cards with a St. Patrick's Day theme this week - so anything having to do with St. Pat's, good luck, or the color green was fair game. I went for the latter 2, since I don't have any St. Patrick's Day stamps...but ladybugs are lucky right? I mean, the set is called "Lucky Ladybugs"...!

This cardstock started off white...I did some "direct to paper" inking with a sage chalk pad (and it fell apart in the process...sigh...the hazards of my art...) then stamped the sentiment in the middle of the panel so I could position the ladybugs and then cut between the sentiment and the ladybugs to create the frame. The clear stamp format made it easy to stamp the bugs straight and just where I wanted them...love that about clear stamps. I stamped the sentiment again on white cardstock, and positioned it inside the frame. I stamped the flourish around the edges, added some Shimmerz to the ladybugs, and dotted white acrylic paint here and there with a small stylus. One more card with a little green...this is a new Leigh Hannan design called Pond Dragonfly. It's colored with Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from Sarah Phelps. Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creations as they post throughout the day:
