Cowgirl cute - just for fun.

Sometimes I get to take the time to make a card just for fun...not out of obligation to any company or challenge or deadline (not to say that I don't LOVE the companies I design for!!). Lately with things as they've been, that's been rare - I've had to use my time for design team requirements. Besides, maybe you've noticed...for as crazy as this month turned out to be, I am in waaaaaaay over my head!

But today - I needed a birthday card for my kids' friend's cowgirl birthday party, and I happened to have this image from Rubber Romance that my PSF* Shannan sent to me...so it went from there. All obligations thrown to the wind, baby. I even colored with markers, which I almost never never do. (PSF = Pretend Stamping Friend)

The saying is from TAC...the hat is layered a bit, just for fun and dimension, and I cut a slit over her arm to loop the jute around. I added some shading and highlights with Prismacolor pencils.

This friend is an Aussie....hope the color combo is ok!

  3. She is definitely 'cowgirl' cute with that rope in her hand. She looks like she is getting ready to jump up to do the 'Texas Two-Step'.
