tea party, teapot winner, and more free stamps!
To begin our tea party this week - we have a winner of the Teapot Trios set!
Ida!!!!!!!!
- please send me your mailing address, and I will get your stamp set off to you. Congratulations!Trish D brought our final Tea Party challenge for the Design Team year - a color combo to finish us out. Brown, white, and some other color. I'll confess....I totally forgot about the challenge being this week, but it so happened that yesterday I made a card that was brown/tan, white, and turquoise - serendipity! So here is my happy accident.
The card features one of my collage stamps from smARTworks, called Hands collage. I stamped the image in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink, then added highlights and shading with Prismacolor pencils, blending with mineral spirits. On the bottom panel I stamped the flourish from the Stella set, and also stamped a faux ribbon across.
I have a Hands Collage set to give away as well - leave your comment on this post and I'll draw a name Saturday night. Just sharin' the love. :)
Be sure to check out what other team members created as they post throughout the day:

Packing continues...at this point we know we will either need extra pieces of luggage, or will have to pay overweight fees. So...is it better to have fewer pieces that are heavier, or more pieces that are within the weight limits?

One of my favorite color combos! And the overall "feel" is warm and genuine. I like it.

ReplyDeleteI really love adding turquoise to brown, one of my favorite color combinations!!! I love the image too, maybe I'll win??!! My fingers are crossed!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely piece with lovely colors. As always, your art is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...heavy or more. Tough call on that one. You have to be able to manage either the heft of an overweight bag or have extra hands to carry extra bags. All the best to you during this time.
