*sniff, snort, sneeze*

...sigh...I'm not starting off too well today, got the allergies going. Loooooooove Missouri this time of year........ironically I found a flower card to post today....! LOL

I didn't even notice that last time was my 400th post! Not that that's monumental or anything, but it's a nice round number. One of these days, I do have more smARTworks sets to give away...but I am so disoriented right now, and we've been sitting in on a seminar this week...go go go! And today, my eyes are half swelled shut. So maybe not today!

Anyway! This card features one of my new Trios designs, Rose Trio #3. You can find it in the online catalog on page 141.

Because of the detail in the layers of this set, it seems better suited to using 2 inkpads. For the base/solid layer I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk Dark Peony, stamped off once. The second layer uses the same color, but direct to the paper. The final detail layer is done in Versamagic Perfect Plumeria. I ran a water brush around it to soften the edges. This saying is part of the rose set. One of my favorites!

  1. Poor Thing! You sound miserable... AND having to attend a seminar... just what you need! Congratulations on your 400th post!!! I enjoy your blog so much, keep up the good work, even though at the moment I can imagine you'd much rather crawl into a cave somewhere & sleep for the rest of your life. Prayers are going up that you'll feel LOTS better!!!

  2. BEAUTIFUL card (as alwyas!)! And I can sympathize about your head...(I have to stay in St. Louis year round - never seem to get rid of the head/nose/sinus thingie.)

    Feel better! :-(

  3. Bummer about allergies! My brothers have terrible times too, but I escaped. Also love the duo colored inked flower on your card.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  4. Beautiful card!! Thanks for the inking details!!!
I am so sorry about the allergies. I have been sick at seminars, too. Frustrating--you want to pay attention--but sometimes the body won't cooperate!
