stony paths

I finally found my small stash of Fabriano Mediovalis watercolor cards...so had to use one to celebrate. :) I'm starting to pack (someone else will be staying in our house so we're putting our personal things away to make room for them) so most of my larger stamps are already stowed away, but I found this garden path stamp from Biblical Impressions that I don't think I've ever used. It's stamped with Stazon ink - I've never seen such a clean and crisp stamped image as Stazon on Fabriano. Beautimous.

My card started not looking like I wanted it to, so I ended up cutting out the stamped image instead of using the card as a card. The additional flowers are from a watercolor stamp set from Art Impressions. I did a little 'faux watercolor', inking my stamps with Versamagic ink and then spritzing with water before stamping.

The ribbon feature is inspired by this card here - how cute is that?

This card is going to friends of ours, who just found out that their 6 year old daughter has a 3cm mass in her brain...they've returned to their home country to pursue treatment for her. I thought this quote from My Heart Stamps for You was appropriate to the card and to their situation. Amen, anyone?

  1. Amen - I can't even fathom the "strong shoes" that God provided for Corrie ten Boom in that concentration camp. I know that He will give grace to your friends as they go through this trial. I'll be praying!

  2. Love the softness of this card. The saying is perfect & will provide encouragement to this family.
