Etsy inspired

I did a little snooping around Etsy the other day, just to look for ideas and see what's "out there". I was particularly interested in this shop that had cards with layered images in 2 similar colors - very cool stuff, very clean and crisp and appealing. And lots of white. Not usually my thing if you know me! But bold color, which I do like. Anyway, thank you annacote for the inspo, and this is what I created when I finally pulled myself away from the computer.

All stamps are by smARTworks - the flower is from the "Grow" set, and I used the leaf from "Darling Duo" to fill in a little space at the bottom. The inks I used were Versamagic chalk inks - Spring Pansy and Purple Hydrangea, and Eggplant for the verse. I have a feeling I'll be mass producing this layout at some point in the future - great quick card and easily altered for any occasion...I already made a brown one with the same verse for the Mom of the girl who's getting the cat card...not sure how many times now they have had to fly to Jakarta and Singapore for doctor consults....

I went and checked out our house yesterday and it's all painted inside - woo hoo! I think they'll be working on the floors today or early next week...when that's done we can start moving stuff in (we just have a cement floor but they wax it or something similar to make it shine).

Have a great weekend!
