Seaside Sketches

Every once in a while I stray from the usual few companies I'm "loyal" to, for the sole reason that there's other stuff out there that I like too! This is one of those cards.

The Seaside Sketches set from SU just retired, so I'm glad to have gotten it in time! I love this sketchy style. I actually have 2 of these sets thanks to a great deal on ebay and some sweet friends back home! The sea grass is a stamp from I Love Rubber Stamps - if you've never seen their designs you have got to check them out. Beautiful artwork, especially if you like realistic animal images. One of these days I'll have to order from them again.

The cloud image is from Alextamping - I saw their demos at a stamp convention in Missouri and was hooked. They have all kinds of great scene stamps, usually in sets that include a coordinating or reverse image. Very very cool. This stamp is actually called a sky tool and "much more than a stamp", because the cloud effect is accomplished by dragging the inked stamp across your card. (You can see instructions here) The stamp is only sold mounted, and comes in a couple different sizes.

The background is done using the scrap strip technique you know I love to do - I did several green panels this way the other day - my green scrap holder is getting a lit-tle too full.

Have a great weekend!
