quick fix

I needed a going away card for a friend, so I pulled this one out of the stash and quick changed the saying for a computer-generated one. Don't you just love that font? It's called I Love Derwin. Not sure where I got it but it's just cool. Love it. The saying means "until we meet again".

The girl on the bike is a TAC stamp from a set called Precious Girl. I hope the new catty has more stamps in that style...I sketched in the road using a watercolor pencil, then blended it in with a Dove blender pen. The grass stamp is from Biblical Impressions, and the tiny flowers are made using the fern stamp from SU's Watercolor Minis set. This is my favorite color palette, I think - I seem to use it more than others. The block paper is a free download from http://www.oscraps.com/, definitely a fave.

On another note - congratulations to those are going on to round 2 of the smARTworks Design Team application process! As the Design Team leader I got to help Susan in reviewing all the applications and there was some SERIOUS talent in our stack! And to those who 'have the opportunity to try again next year' - don't despair! Keep working at it. We had many aspects to consider, and just because you didn't make the cut does not at all mean you're not a talented stamper. You would probably be shocked at some of the people who didn't go on. Seriously.

Ugh....we haven't had running water for 24 hours, and it's just finally coming back on...which reminds me that I left a trickle running in the bathroom to fill up a bucket to flush the toilet which hasn't been flushed in that amount of time....whoops!
