Using up scraps

Not sure where this idea came from, probably a compilation of ideas I've seen going through blogs. Anyway, it seemed like a fun way to use up some scraps. This was one of 5 cards I made...the other ones are...not really me! I based the colors off some patterned paper (Fruity Fusion?)from TAC that my SIL gave me, and the colors are really bright. Hopefully the recipients will appreciate the cheer! This one is a little more my style. That bg paper is a free download from www.oscraps.com, printed on textured cardstock. Gotta love it! I can get some great textures here...just not many colors. :) The only stamp I used on this is from the now defunct Diakonos Stamps. It's a clear stamp, and it's pretty yellow and sticky, and I have a feeling I shouldn't have used StazOn ink on it, but it gives the best impression of the black inkpads that I have. This would have been a quick card, except that the adhesive that I can find here that endures the humidity is backed double stick tape, and it gets a little tedious cutting each piece with scissors and pulling off all the backing. The punches...retro flower by EKSuccess Whale of a Punch, and Marvy Giga scalloped circle. The other circles and the scallop edge were done with my Coluzzle.
