Versamark would be hard to control. Pop over to the tutorial to check - I think you do just briefly use your heat gun to reactivate the top surface of the glue to warm up the powder.Dina Kowal Creativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16776399909915317297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36717478.post-1856879393825046092016-02-22T23:13:28.431-05:002016-02-22T23:13:28.431-05:00Did you do the water color first or after the hot ...Did you do the water color first or after the hot glue? Also, I would imagine that the embossing powder would stick to the tackiness of the hot glue without using Versamark - right? Then, used your hot gun or does the hot glue melt the embossing powder on its own?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02589218512308561488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36717478.post-16569087761671247582015-10-29T11:09:32.550-04:002015-10-29T11:09:32.550-04:00Thanks, Dina. I'm using this technique (I'll credit Connie's tutorial on the site) to teach a class in November so want to get more samples done. I posted to the SplitCoast Stampers gallery but I haven't been able to add a comment to thank the many comments I got. Again, thanks for the info re the glue and setting.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13332007686485416622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36717478.post-59373731480932595112015-10-14T18:32:02.288-04:002015-10-14T18:32:02.288-04:00Hi Linda! This was actually my first run with my new glue gun, so I was pretty pleased.Dina Kowal Creativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16776399909915317297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36717478.post-63400144538742510292015-10-14T10:42:26.237-04:002015-10-14T10:42:26.237-04:00Dina, I tried a couple of samples after I watched ...Dina, I tried a couple of samples after I watched the tutorial. I tried the dribble-doodle style like your card - like how it came out and the gold embossing powder makes it look great. I didn't get good results at all with the first technique - dragging the hot glue down the card. My glue dried too quickly for me to be able to get it to move much. Are you using multi-temp glue sticks or the high temp. ones? I know that the glue gun and the glue sticks could make a difference, just wondering what you're having the best luck with. Thanks.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13332007686485416622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36717478.post-86682326421795092432015-10-14T07:18:49.925-04:002015-10-14T07:18:49.925-04:00Oh my gosh!!
