Understand that for all intents and purposes we are homeless (!) and I don't have any aqua or teal paper or embellishments or ANYTHING - I even left my aqua/teal Prismacolor pencils overseas to make room for colors I use more. So...my first card ended up brown/lime/turquoise. And orange. And...after looking at it and realizing the excess amount of orange in the card...I decided I'd better have a "Take Two" to share.
Card #2...not a great picture. But I did find a teal watercolor pencil and was able to follow the color challenge a little more closely. The balloon is a part of the original image - I removed it on the first card...and on this card I sketched in the line so the kittie can be "hanging" on it. "Hang in there" is from smARTworks' last release of winter images.

Adorable artwork! Love em both!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! I really love how you put the birdie on her head! So cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job with limited supplies!! How did you ever decide what to take with you??
ReplyDeleteAw, those are cuuuuute!! I really like the papers you used on the second one (and great way to tie in the teal!)
ReplyDeleteExtra cute on both counts, and your coloring wows me no matter what the color combo, so I'll ignore the orange. ~wink, wink
ReplyDeleteI like #1 because of what you did with Bitty Bird, and #2 because paired with the fabulous prints, it's sophisticated cuteness.
Yeah...what they said! Seriously, I love both of these cards. Maybe the orange wasn't part of the challenge, but it's a combo I love, and the birdie on the head? Inspired. My favorite thing about your second card? The white flowers.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute - excellent job, ESPECIALLY for a homeless gal short on supplies!! You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteCute cards! How you manage anything while traveling is beyond me. Hope you're all well & the rest of the trip goes smoothly too.
ReplyDeleteThese cards are adorable!! Nice job for not even having what you need!!!! I am off to look for this stamp set...it is too cute!
ReplyDeleteLovely stamps and cute cards. Hugs Marja
