Impression Obsession Spring Release - Day 1

The Impression Obsession team is showcasing new Spring images that are available NOW! You can visit the I.O. Blog all this week for links to the previews and ALL the challenge details. Leave a comment on our designers' posts throughout the week for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Impression Obsession!

If you're new to my blog, then you may not know that I'm not only on the Impression Obsession design team - I'm also one of their artists! You can find all my stamps HERE. It's always fun during these blog hops to be able to share my stamps, some thoughts behind them, and some fun ways to use them. This release is very personal to me, because I was working on it during the last months of my dad's life as he was battling cancer. One of our designers commented that she could tell that the artwork came from a very deep place - it's true. So I truly hope that this extension of my tender heart will be a blessing to you, and to others through you!

CAC Cable Knit

Mr. Rogers has always been an influence and kindred spirit of mine, so I have a collection of stamps dedicated to his memory - the "
Fred Said" clear set features his iconic shoes, of course, as well as some memorable quotes, and there are several other stamps that coordinate beautifully with these, dovetailing into other themes. The sweater panel on the card above was stamped with Versamark ink, and brushed with PanPastels - so easy. I'll put a video together on that soon!

The shoe images are available in smaller left and right versions in the clear set, or together in this larger rubber stamp. They're so much fun to color in, and did you notice the brand?

E23014 Dog Silhouette 3
E23013 Dog Silhouette 4
I love this quote - it goes with the shoe stamps, and my sentiments as I was designing, as well as these dog silhouettes by Gail Green!  I've been sending a version of this card with my pet portraits - it's done with 3 layered images stamped in IO Hybrid inks (Beige, Mist, Fog)

Be sure to check out the other designers' blogs for inspiration - you'll find a full list of their names on the I.O. Blog! You're not required to comment on every post, but the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win - each one of us has a $25 gift certificate to give away! Our winners will be announced by IO on Monday Jan 14, and we'll have a new feature to share with you on that day as well.

Thank you for visiting me!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I mentioned my dad above - if you'd like to see one more reason that Mr. Rogers needed to be a part of this release, please watch this Spokane news feature, which was completed just 5 months before he passed away. You'll understand!

I'm sure the kids kept your father young
