Today the cards made for Falliday Fest will be benefiting
Operation Quiet Comfort, a support organization that
"exists solely for the purpose of honoring and comforting America’s military men and women who become sick and injured while serving in harm’s way. " For the drive, we're collecting patriotic thank you cards. Here's one I made, which also fits this week's Mix-Ability challenge.
I had a panel scored for a different project but decided not to use it, so that became my card base. I die cut a square and left it in, just to break up the white space a little.
For the focal panel, I used a new die from Impression Obsession to create a chipboard stencil:
...then I traced each opening onto a 3" Art Square from Inchie Arts, and did a little doodling with a waterproof pen. I watercolored the sections with palette blended ink from 2 Zig Clean Color markers then colored a few sections directly with the markers. The sentiment is from my Life Stuff Sentiments clear set.
QUITE STUNNING,DINA! ;)
