Splitcoast Tutorial: Faux Stamped Leather

This week's tutorial over on Splitcoast is a fun technique called Faux Stamped Leather - it recreates the look of debossed leather using cardstock, a stylus, and sponged inks.

Instead of stamping a solid image, I used a holly stencil from Penny Black and filled in the image with a sepia Pitt marker. I sponged chalk inks onto the panel after tracing the outline with a stylus. I love the rustic look! This technique can be taken to another level too - check out Melissa's scenic card here! Amazing.
