Impression Obsession - All About the Dies - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our Impression Obsession die showcase!  See the I.O. blog for all the details!  You can visit the I.O. Blog each day of the hop for links to the previews. Make sure to comment on all our blogs for a chance to WIN!  Each day one winner will get three dies of their choice!!

Here's another out-of-the-box project for using the Pumpkin dies. The measurements below will vary somewhat depending on the size of the sucker you use, but the steps would be the same.

This is the die set that I used - I love that the faces are separate so the pumpkin can just be a pumpkin!
Pumpkin

I started by scoring a 2.5" x 5" orange rectangle at 2", 2.5", and 3". Here's where your measurements may vary depending on the diameter of the sucker you use. Smaller is better so that your pumpkins on either side can meet up at the top. You may need a longer or shorter piece of cardstock... just be sure that you score 2" from each end and then in the center between those two scorelines.

Here's the shape my piece folded into after scoring.

Lay the die onto the folded piece so that the bottom edge hangs over the edge of folds slightly. Because the fold means 4 layers of cardstock at the thickest part, you may need to make a couple of cuts with scissors. Depends on the thickness of your cardstock. Tape the die in place so it doesn't slide in your machine.

Here's the cut piece. Score straight down between the points on each side of the center flat area.

Punch a 1/4" hole in the center of the flat area.

Position and die cut a face on one side (or both, if you want!)

Put the sucker stick through the punched hole...

Use a dab of glue to hold the leaves together, and close them together with a clothespin or clip until the glue dries. Here's what it looks like from the side!
