Imagine..........

Every time I walk by my desk I start singing the Beatles song...and since I don't agree with premise of the song, it's driving me crazy that it's stuck in my head! Now the card...this I like. :) All stamps are from smARTworks. I could not resist the kitty set - there are 2 cats and then some teeny creepy-crawlers that they seem to be looking at - a butterfly, a caterpillar, and a snail. Very, very cute. :) Many more scenes in my head for them to fill...but not today!

The scene is done on watercolor paper. I colored the cat and butterfly in with watercolor pencils. I used ink from my Adirondack Lettuce ink pad to fill in the field, then stamped over it while it was wet with a stamp of some grass and flowers (partial stamp). The clouds are watercolored. "Imagine" is stamped with Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink (I think it's the pad I reinked with the wrong color). I drew in the fence and blended it in a little. Stripe paper is a free download from www.oscraps.com, and the green is local "buffalo" cardstock.

The butterfly has a pierced swoopy trail. You can see it a little better in the closeup. I sketched it in with a pencil and pierced it with a pin, then carefully erased the line. Fun, huh?
