was inspired by this card by Julie Ebersole, HRR (Her Royal Rubberness, for those not familiar with her incomparable persona) Of course mine's not near as fun and cheery as hers, but the influence is definitely there. :) I don't have any cute Amuse stamps, so I used what I had...these little chicks are from My Heart Stamps for You, and poor things, they had fallen out of their binder so they were sitting out on Inspiration card #2 was inspired by this card by Nichole Heady. This was one of the designs Nichole used to count down to the unveiling of her first new stamp set at www.papertreyink.com. I had to recreate it with stamps from My Heart Stamps for You. I made my circle mortise mask with my Coluzzle (cut a circle out of another piece of paper and laid it over the card, working inside the empty space) and stippled inside. I stamped the 'thank you' before stamping the flowers - I tried it first doing the flowers first while I had the mask still on and it didn't look right having flowers under the words. The flowers are stamped in grey and colored in with gel pens. There's that textured cardstock - this one almost has an Aida cloth type texture in it, and I love it!
Thanks for checking in on me!
Awesome job Dina...I have seen the originals you speak of and understand your inspiration. That first one is amazing...you created a whole scene here! Good job!
ReplyDeleteLove the little chick card! That Indonesian cardstock is simply gorgeous - at least you're getting some "perks" for being there - I guess you traded Spring for cardstock & ribbon (not too bad!)
